Each of these half-day courses will be made up of four, easy to follow and absorb 45 minute parts (see Venues & Times). Full notes will be provided and where applicable, revision questions & answers will be supplied.The material that will be covered in each of the parts is listed below:
Introduction to Investing with TA Part 1 - What Investing is all about. The different types available and how to start off as an investor Part 2 – The difference between Fundamentals & Technical Analysis Part 3 – An Overview of the basics of how technical analysis will make you successful in the market Part 4 – How to determine and implement a Stop Loss strategy along with Risk and Money Management when Investing
Using Moving Averages & Indicators Part 1 - Delegates will be introduced to the importance of Moving Averages and Indicators, and their use in technical analysis. Part 2 - The various ways of interpreting moving averages and the ideal situations to use them in will be covered. Part 3 - The various ways of interpreting and using Indicators will be covered.The various categories that different types of indicators fall into will be discussed along with their relevance to the market. The different methods that can be used in interpreting indicators will also be covered. This section serves as an introduction to the principles and concepts to be covered in subsequent “Advanced Charting” sections. (Specific Indicators will be covered in greater detail in Course 4). Part 4 - Additionally, Log & Linear Scaling and Weekly & Monthly data techniques will be discussed to ensure investors have the “Big Picture” when making decisions.
Trend Lines and Patterns Part 1 - The vital importance of trend lines is the basis of this first part. Part 2 - Will cover how and where to draw trend lines, along with their practical use in determining support and resistance levels. This part also covers how markets move in channels. Part 3 - Categorising and identifying the different Market Patterns share prices continually form will be covered. Part 4 - The interpretation of patterns, and their application in current situations, will be discussed in this final part.
Advanced Indicators Parts 1..4 How to use Indicators to time your market decisions. This will be a practical discussion using current examples of many of the popular indicators (OBV, NVI, PVI, Momentum, OB/OS, RSI, SIROC, MACD, etc.). Each of these indicators will be discussed in depth so that delegates will be comfortable in using them in their own analysis.
The Technique of Relative Strength Analysis Part 1 - The concept, benefit & construction of Relative Strength Charts. Part 2 - The importance of using Relative Strengths to find the most profitable sectors and shares to be invested in will be discussed. Part 3 - Using Relative Strength comparisons as a “Leading Indicator” will be covered. Part 4 - Using Relative Strength charts with other indicators for timing will conclude this comprehensive course.
Cycles & Waves Part 1 - An introduction to the theory of Cycles Part 2 - Practical examples of Cycles and how to identify them. Part 3 - An introduction to the Elliot Wave Theory. Part 4 -Practical examples of Elliot Waves and their use in the stock market. The concept of Fibonacci Projection/Retracement levels will be covered. Back to the top |
